Adulthood is mostly about being tired and wishing you hadn't made plans.
I see the vision. 🤔

Wright/Pegg interviewed many PCs and found a large number were called Andy – hence the Two Andys (Paddy Considine and Rafe Spall). Doris (Olivia Colman) was so named as, apparently, female officers would sometimes be referred to as ‘Doris’ (times have changed, we’d hope).

The role of chief antagonist Simon Skinner was written for Timothy Dalton, so Wright and Pegg were delighted when he agreed to appear in the film. At the first read-through, Pegg and Wright shared a thumbs up when they realised Dalton was as perfect as they hoped.

HOT FUZZ was released 19 years ago today. The second entry in Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy and one of the most beloved British comedies this century, the tale of how it was made is like firing two guns whilst jumping through the air…

15 years ago today I arrived on Downing Street in a cage.
I've seen off Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak and I'm still going strong.
Only two Prime Ministers have ever done longer stints here: William Pitt the Younger and Sir Robert Walpole.
Bill and Bob - I'm coming for you...

Scrolling Insta or TikTok has become a labor of AI sleuthing. I think a huge problem is that so many people use these awful filters that suck the realism/life out of the pic/video, and that makes it harder to believe what you're seeing. They all look fake now. I really miss Insta from 10 years ago.

I’m being a sap and watching You’ve Got Mail, and it dawned on me that Tom Hanks was in the two greatest marketing movies of all-time within two years of each other. You’ve Got Mail in 1998 and then Cast Away in 2000.

What a goat.

Endgame was a huge hit because it was the off-ramp to a decade-long series for a lot of people. Doomsday is basically asking the audience to get back on the highway for old times sake, and I’m sorry but that’s not how highways work!

The ratings and reviews I’m seeing for Wuthering Heights are all over the map. Good to get the first polarizing film of the year out of the way early.

The premise is that you get to pick your eternity, and it got me thinking what would I choose for the rest of my existence. I’d pick NYC. It’s home and has everything.

(NY state is possible so I could 🏂)

The 90’s talk show circuit was just an unhinged mess. Ricki, Phil, Maury, Jenny and Sally were out there entertaining loonies every weekday.

We loved it.
