Whopper of the Week: RFK Jr’s Bogus Attacks on Mifepristone Threaten Abortion Access

RFK Jr is not waiting for the FDA study of Mifepristone to come out to cast doubt on its safety. Trump administration is already restricting access to it.

mRNA flu vaccines have better immunogenicity and better efficacy than traditional flu jab, and can be developed, manufactured and updated faster.

By denying US market, Prasad has essentially killed any prospect of a realistic mRNA flu vaccine in any market.

This guy and his RFK army are ghouls.

We don't know what's happening, but there's no good news here. As long as we keep burning fossil fuels, the world will continue to become more dangerous and chaotic.
Scientists thought they understood global warming. Then the past three years happened.
The fastest warming period since 1880 occurred in the past 30 years, according to a Washington Post analysis of NASA data.

The revised Schedule F policy, finalized last week, will kick in next month. It could reclassify career government scientists—potentially those involved in grantmaking at agencies like NIH and NSF—into at-will employees, and would strip them of whistleblower protections.
Trump team’s new rule could make firing government scientists easier
Although the government says the move will depoliticize US science, some researchers say it will do the opposite.

Donald Trump is stripping critical public health funding with one goal in mind: harming states he doesn’t like.

It’s a slap in the face to Illinoisans.

We will not stand by idly as Trump illegally cancels the Congressionally-allocated funding we are owed.
Illinois AG sues to prevent Trump admin. from cutting $600M in public health funds from 4 states
Illinois' attorney general is suing to block the Trump administration from cutting public health funding. Among the $600 million in cuts would be a $5.2 million program at Lurie Children's Hospital.

There are humans behind the concentration camps, like CoreCivic CEO Damon T. Hininger and board chair Mark A. Emkes.

One of the most important things Dems like @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social can do now is name the people running CoreCivic and promise prison time for any known crimes.

No, I say.

"But it will be okay?" they ask.

I tell them I don't know. I tell them I have no indication it will other than a vague reference to the curve of history.

The suspicion of course is that Prasad/RFKjr/Trump are ideologically opposed to mRNA technology and/or vaccination altogether...

This decision has nothing to do with the choice of control arms in the study.

Under Trump, why would pharma firms bother marketing modern vaccines in the US at all?
