Also just it must be said, RIP Rob Reiner 😔 ‘The Princess Bride’, ‘When Harry Met Sally’, ‘Misery’, ‘North’…plus, fuckin ‘Stand by Me’!! (“wanna see a dead body?”)Those movies shaped me as a human being, and he was a genuine good dude. I’m so tired of all the tragedy all the time. 🙁

I bit the bullet and got the advanced Nintendo subscription just cause I wanted to play these special levels for Mario Kart 8 and also eventually check out my Zelda BotW and TotK saves in hd 60 fps. I am enjoying myself 😊

Kart Racers are always self-referential anyhow. The premise is usually : “ let’s take an IP’s characters and have them all race around areas from the IP’s worlds on little vehicles where they use relevant power ups against each other to win!” unless you are familiar with the IP the exp is flattened

For example: Sonic Racing started to grow on me way more once I started to learn who the newer characters are and more recent game lore just to kinda contextualize everything. now that I’m checking out the games they’re from it is better somehow.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m pumped a sequel to Control is coming out. But with my backlog by the time it’s out I’ll prob be just starting Alan Wake 2 while the internet gushes about it. It’s ok though- I like to really be immersed in my games instead of just playing the first few hours of what’s new

Re: the analogue 3D- I do kinda want to support something that shows a market for gamers like me who want to buy a game and have it be complete out of the box- no 100GB patches or subscription service needed, no micro transactions

Also love how Cyberpunk just perfectly encapsulates how insane this future is by showing this which is something I can see happening here soon: a lotto for medicine/primary care visits, blood screens lol

Uh oh I just ordered an Analogue 3D 😭😂 I am both excited that I managed to get one before they sell out (I went classic black for like $20 cheaper than the cool new retro colored-see thru plastic ones) and embarrassed that I don’t just set up the actual old hardware which I still have..
