Hello to my new followers! I research and write about the US & global white Christian nationalist movement with @praeyesright.bsky.social. I’m also co-author of the new book Safety through Solidarity: A Radical Guide to Fighting Antisemitism www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/741043...
Safety through Solidarity by Shane Burley, Ben Lorber: 9781685890919 | PenguinRandomHouse.com: Books
Two activist journalists present a progressive, intersectional approach to the vital question: What can we do about antisemitism? Antisemitism is on the rise today. From synagogue shootings by white ...

For years Hazony & his ilk have been feeding the flames of MAGA antisemitism, scapegoating George Soros as a progressive puppetmaster & demonizing liberal Jews as illegitimate. Their gamble was that Christian nationalism would remain 'Judeo-Christian' & pro-Israel

In last week's interview Hazony still wanted to deny that Gaza has anything to do with rising MAGA antisemitism. But that's ridiculous- Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson & others are rejecting the neoconservative consensus. Israel is central to today's MAGA fault lines

In 2022 & 2024 I went to Hazony's NatCon conference, a who's who of US & global far-right leaders. In 2022, the Jewish nationalists I spoke to insisted antisemitism wasn't a big problem in their movement. By fall 2024 they started changing their tune --> inthesetimes.com/article/demo...
The Right Is Increasingly Exploiting the Horror of Genocide
Right-wing operatives are channeling the genocide in Gaza into mainstream antisemitism.

Last week Yoram Hazony, far-right Israeli theorist & leader of National Conservatism, sat down with NYT columnist Ross Douthat to explain why he was surprised there's now an antisemitism crisis in the MAGA movement. Nobody else was surprised. My latest: bit.ly/HazonyAntisemitism

Had a great big picture conversation last week with Rachel Nelson at @newlinesinst.bsky.social on antisemitism in the MAGA movement, what a principled anti-Zionism looks like, changing views on Israel/Palestine in the American Jewish community and more. Give it a listen! bit.ly/49IwVnr

Male isolation isn’t the root cause of fascism- plenty of lonely men don’t become fascists- but it’s not irrelevant

tfw out-of-touch Christian Zionist elders discover for the first time white nationalist memes that have been around forever, and then immediately amplify them to warn their followers & inadvertently redpill a bunch of boomers

My thoughts on Israeli nationalist Yoram Hazony’s interview yesterday with NYT columnist Ross Douthat, where Hazony struggled & failed to convince us that rising MAGA antisemitism is a bug, not a feature of the movement he still (for now) calls home

Oh my god
Q: Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?

MAMDANI: I've spoken about--

TRUMP: That's okay. You can just say yes. I don't mind.

Written in March of this year, @fredclarkson.bsky.social and @benlorber8.bsky.social trace how a fast-growing Christian Right movement is becoming a major driver of U.S. and global support for Israel. Examine its rising influence, political reach, and international networks.

2. Not taking him seriously. He's not only a shock jock stoking young male alienation with rage bait. He also gives his audience sophisticated political analysis (moreso than many MAGA pundits) which they take seriously. When we don't, they can tell we look down on them.

Every time Nick Fuentes is in the news, I see reporters and observers making the same two errors:

1. Treating something he says on one show, in one clip, as his master plan. He streams for 2 hours a night. While there are some constants, his analysis & strategy shifts over time/

I agree with you. But for that reason I don't think Schumer introducing a bipartisan resolution is going to isolate Fuentes at all. MAGA isn't going to join hands across the aisle and admit they have a racism problem. If anything they'll double down and close ranks
November 20, 2025 at 6:38 PM
How? I think most of MAGA will polarize hard against this. The opposite of helpful

And with that the debate is settled, Nick Fuentes is officially in the MAGA tent

They're in the nation's capital, but a small conference room in a hotel is the best the ex-Heritage antisemitism task force could do. The 'exit' sign in the background is telling-- they're standing up, alright; and, it seems, being shown the door

Maybe it's just me, but I think Jews deserve better friends than folks like these who ultimately want most of us to burn in End Times hellfire & stop being Jewish.

at FRC's DC conference, nodding affirmingly as another speaker outlines a grim End Times scenario where 2/3 of Jews will die, & calls on Jews to convert now. Jewish Zionists have long expected their Christian partners to disavow this stuff. But here Bramnick & Perkins are speaking only to Christians

"What if God wants to move among Jewish people" means, what if Jews find Jesus? He chuckles because he knows it's controversial to say.

Another speaker at today's conference is Tony Perkins, head of Family Research Council. Here he is last fall,
