Look everyone @benmekler.bsky.social, @chrisamick.bsky.social, and myself want to work on this thing together. Someone help us get this film made animated or not. You know it would be fun.
Everyone contacting me about Root as an animated property: That's cool and all but I still think it would be much more niche and way cooler if we did it with creepy puppets like the Dark Crystal.
Tempt not a desperate man
I think @benmekler.bsky.social should make a bonus episode of Mortal Podkast creating a fictional history and backstory for Floyd
No amusement as a parent will ever match the time my three year old daughter learned that Pixies is one of my favorite bands, enthusiastically asked to listen to them, and realized the disparity between reality and what she’d imagined

It’s a simple yet haunting work that’s well-shot, written, and acted across the board, especially for a first feature. It also gets better as it goes along, finding surprising resonances that get at something truthful about how it is we find meaning in a bleak world 📽️

IT ENDS (2025; d. Alexander Ullom): @sxsw.com Friends don’t let friends drive endlessly. But you need friends! Likable characters, terrific performances, empathetic direction. Audience loved it too!

Congratulations to Alexander Ullom and team on the excellent IT ENDS, sure to be one of this year's genre breakouts. It has the feeling of a true original and an exciting new voice.

Can't wait for everyone else to experience it.

Saw "IT ENDS" and it's a certified banger. Alex Ullom is a major new talent and the young cast all deliver remarkable performances - a movie that starts out terrifying and then turns funny and philosophical and ultimately life-affirming

Day one of #SXSW
Got to see 3 movies
The Threesome
It Ends
Ghost Boy

I loved loved It Ends. It’s a psychological horror that leaves you wanting more and wondering what happened in the best way. The picture is the main cast. Lots of talent in this photo!

It Ends is the road trip from hell, as Alexander Ullom finds a way to to make something mundane interesting, making a character study of what happens when you are alone with your own thoughts and delivering one hell of a well made movie . #SXSW
