Damn. Such an interesting and versatile actor. Those eyes just killed. As great as he was in Warhol's Dracula (wirjins!) and his ever-present menace in films like Breaking the Waves. What a unique career.

Many things to agree on, including the increasing evidence of benefits of psychedelics for ptsd and depression. I’m pleasantly surprised to find this embraced by the conservative right. Other stuff not so much though, but one thing at a time. This is a win for all.

yeah, so often a paper comes out having "discovered" something that was very clearly discovered several years ago with simpler/unavailable technology. >5yrs ago is really not very long. Let's talk about 10+. If you're a good scientist you know your scientific background/history. No excuses.
So many “new” ideas are old repackaged ones using updated terms based on current technologies.

Either folks need to read papers from > 5yrs ago. Or they need to cite them so readers & the public see the slow plodding incremental nature of discovery science.

interesting n=1 last week. I was complimented as "you look nice today" by a co-worker, and "why are you all dressed up?" from my daughter. Difference that day: dress shirt vs polo, trousers vs jeans, a sport jacket (but I often wear them, usually w polo)). Same person, same closet.
My friend and fellow menswear writer Bruce Boyer is fond of saying that clothes are more important than most people think, but less important than fashion people think. I'm of the same mind. I'm of the same mind. I think it's perfectly fine to use clothing to communicate something about yourself.

i really quite despise the reference in food choices in restaurants (menus or servers) and writing, that refer to meat, fish, poultry as "protein". First, far more than protein, folks. Lots of other cellular components. Also beans have protein, is that not included or only meat?
