(French Visio has nothing to do with Microsoft's)
France announced today it’s phasing out Teams, Zoom, etc. to be replaced with a French/European solution called Visio. The data is hosted on Outscale. Transcripts and subtitles are also handled by French providers. The target is set on 2027 for government agencies.

He didn't "appear to". He did. There is no need to insert a meaningless caveat. Not putting into words what everyone has heard is part of the problem.

The whole piece is so wrong-headed. The absolute best thing people can do - the public, celebs, opinion-formers, politicians - is delegitimise Twitter by leaving, thus ending its role in the news ecosystem. It will then either wither on the vine or overstep so frequently that it can be shut down.

The Times is running a front-page story about the Villa-Maccabi Tel Aviv away fan ban without noting Maccabi's long history of racist disorder, which includes a €20k fine *this week* for racist disorder for singing the "rape song" at the club's *first* away game with fans since the Villa ban.

I think at this point if you're including Diane Abbott - a woman who has never held government office, has been a backbencher since 2020, and is scarcely a government ally - on your list of political wrongdoers, we all know exactly what your real concerns are

Sky News is platforming a guy who says he's from a Jewish Aston Villa supporters group, but it turns out that the guy a) isn't Jewish, b) the group doesn't exist, and c) he works for the right wing Henry Jackson Society, whose website says he 'specialises in disinformation'. Well, quite.

Realised that I’m now treating funny viral videos in the same way footballers celebrate goals —

1) initial joy,
2 sudden panic it might be AI/offside
3) lengthy investigation as joy saps away
4) conclusion, joy modulated through fatigue if proven legit/onside, but angry and gutted if AI/offside

Every day Labour MPs delay in getting rid of Starmer and replacing him with someone who recognises that radical action is required brings Britain a day closer to a far-right government.

The challenge is existential not just for the Labour party but for Britain as a multi-racial democracy.

Israel's genocide in Gaza has killed more than 300 footballers. Its deliberate obliteration of civil infrastructure and cultural identity has destroyed every stadium and training pitch. A yet Fifa and Uefa take no action.

Can't fault the clarity of Labour's message on protest. There are BAD protesters who must be punished (Irish musicians, anti-genocide vicars) and there are GOOD protesters whose views deserve respect (masked thugs with petrol bombs trying to start a pogrom)

Feels like a story that the whole of football should be talking about: a player legally in the US who has been deported without due process to foreign prison... for having a Real Madrid tattoo.
This is an athlete Trump doesn't want you to know about.

He's a pro soccer goalie with no criminal record.

He legally immigrated to the US, fleeing persecution from Venezuela's dictator.

But the White House disappeared him to El Salvador — because of a tattoo: www.youtube.com/watch?si=zNc...

Transfer deadline day - 1994

Back when you could sign players at anytime up to the end of March.

No transfer windows. No dedicated TV coverage. No bright yellow banners.

Just clubs quietly going about their business, and the way to find out was good old Ceefax.

Simpler times.
