Just got this in the mail. Thanks again to everyone who voted for me! Not sure how we pulled it off, but I’m so grateful to everyone who’s read my coverage over the last seven years.

It’s been a joy covering Major League Soccer and Nashville SC, and I can’t wait to keep it going!

“Weekend after weekend, he is incredible.”

Lionel Messi just set the record for goal contributions in a single MLS postseason, involved in all 12 of Miami’s goals. They’re building serious momentum towards lifting their first MLS Cup. More for @MLS.bsky.social ⤵️

I been sayin'...
Everyone's talking about Inter Miami's attack, and rightfully so. But in four playoff games so far, they're allowing 1.01 xG against per game and just 0.75 goals against. Both would have been good for by far the best defense in the MLS regular season.

Incredible job by Javier Mascherano.

The sell for Miami should have always been workhorse DPs and homegrowns buzzing around Lionel Messi, nice to see Macherano starting to figure that out.

Anyway, much less concerned about Nashville after this game.

My hot take is that Miami are going to run away with this entire thing.

I’ll never stop being amazed at how often Messi ends up completely unmarked in the box, despite being the focal point of every defense he plays against. Best off-ball mover in the history of the game.

With a major stadium expansion on the way, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds have taken care to set themselves up for future success.

In Saturday’s USL Championship final, that success came early — and with a trophy 🏆

Here's what that the MLS schedule looks like by temperature
November 20, 2025 at 11:46 PM
If you include the World Cup break in the 2026 MLS schedule, 84% of the full capacity match-weeks line up with the new summer-to-spring calendar they'll start using in 2027.

It's essentially the same schedule already.

Schedule releases are almost always overhyped imo (you play basically the same teams every year), but there are some fun ones on the list for Nashville. A first trip to Inter Miami's new stadium and a Decision Day match in Cincinnati are on the early travel list for me.

"The reality is we play in a very tough conference with some very very good teams. I don't see getting easier. I think it only gets harder."

Nashville SC finished in 6th with 54 points, enough for Top 4 in seven of the last 10 years. I talked with Mike Jacobs about improving in 2026.
