The thing that always stands out with these guys is that they are impervious to all pleas for empathy and basic decency until the *moment* that someone in their immediate family is affected, and then suddenly they become Mother Teresa.
Yes, it's nice to see that some GOP pols apparently still have limits to their willingness to do extreme harm to others. No, I do not have to hand it to them.
