So I noticed my twitter timeline is getting more and more right wing.
Not sure if it's cos I mock transphobes and rightwingers alot on there or cos of Musk screwing with the algorithm. Either way a good reason to keep BlueSky open a lot more

The Police Officers yesterday let TERFs off with verbaly abusing and harassing two women (all clearly documented) outside Holyrood Parliament.

Their justification was that my partner and I (peacefuly recording events) were causing "a lot of tension".

Farming and defending from both killer plants/zombies wanna be tyrants. Best bet is get with a group. Either tribal or island based. Many hands make less work.

It also does good showing the realism of surviving when society collapses.
At first you can survive alright in cities but the food stores gonna run out. Going back to basics of farming is good, but if your group is small. Especially if only a handful can see, youd be knackered between scavenging

This month I read Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham.
Here's my thoughts. Spoilers ahead.
As a post apocalyptic account quite good. Had some misgivings on the protagonist at first but by end I realised Bill Masen was just a bloke trying his best to survive.

Also killed imagination. But could one day be faced with a crisis that needs creative thinking to sort it. So rather than execute those who buck against society, it exiles them just in case they are needed one day.

For me it would be Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
Simply because it is the first one I found that doesn't kill off the rebels. It recruits or exiles them. Cos the dystopian government knows it's bioengineered society /1
