I don't pretend to be an expert... but from the webinars I've attended, it's my understanding that it's fine to reference the tool in your personalization of the letter. Something like... "In your Manuscript Wishlist post, you note your interest in XXX."
As Banned Book Week wraps up, I'm passing along this great link from the #ALA with the top 10 challenged books. Looks to me like a great reading list! 📚🌈
Let's hope that diverse voices are never silenced!
For those looking for resources during Banned Books Week- 🚫 Pen America provides great info. I've used their legislative tracker for data in writing my "Rabbit Hole" novel (currently #querying). 📚 📝
It's Banned Book Week... so consequential, especially now. 📚
What banned book most inspires you as a writer? 📝 I loved Lula Dean's Little Library of Banned Books--it gave me the courage to strengthen revisions in my "Rabbit Hole" novel.
Our October graphics look so cute! And what a fun month we have planned:
🍂InCOMParable: A New Approach to Comps 🍁Live Panel with Macmillan Editor Christina Lopez 🎃 #MSWL Live Agent Panel: Horror ☎️Publishing Help Desk (for all your un-Google-able questions)
Reposting my #agentsguide for "Resisting the Rabbit Hole"-- a women's fiction piece centered on the very real consequences of educational policies of exclusion & censorship (sound familiar?)--w/ a touch of Maine humor and lots of heart! 🍎📚
By happy accident (it's YA not Adult), I picked up Samira Ahmed's amazing "This Book Won't Burn." I'd definitely recommend it for anyone- of any age- who advocates for the incredible power of books. 📚
Countdown is on... to the #MWPA Crime Wave! Can't wait for the roundtables (so many to choose), speed connections, coffee, book slam, author panel, more coffee, & interview w/ Paul Doiron (followed by more coffee)!☕
