Residents have been asking about proposed road safety schemes on both Priory Road and Avenue Road. I can confirm that neither are progressing. However, if there is enough support, they could come in a future budget after the elections next year. I will provide further updates when I have them.

Like my residents, I rely on the number 50 bus service to run on time. However, people driving or parking dangerously on the route often causes significant delays. If you agree we need more enforcement along the route, please fill out this survey to let us know your views.

Christmas lights switch-on last night - and the street felt so much better opened up to people.
A space designed for walking, wheeling (that rumoured cycle path 👀), and community could make Moseley Village Green even better for the market, events and everyday village life.

20mph default would bring your insurance costs down by £50. Esure says they'll reduce premiums for every area introducing the new limit. It's already happened in Wales, we should get the same benefits in Birmingham.

Jeez.

Our justice system is glacial, especially where it really matters.

17 months to get a conviction in a very clear cut case.

No justice no peace.

There should be a maximum period for all cases of manslaughter/murder between arrest & trial. www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midland...

I’m fed up with being bullied by motorists on the roads of Brum, whether I’m walking or on 2 wheels. I’ve been cycling on roads since the 1970s, but now, virtually every day, I feel like giving up and buying a tank sized tin can, just so that I can safely get from A to B.

The one positive to come out of this awful incident is that the section of dual carriageway where it took place has had its speed limit reduced from 40 to 30mph.

This has taken place largely as a result of campaigning & hard graft by @betterstreetsforbirmingham.org ✊🏻✊🏽✊🏿

24 hour bus lanes should be standard; there’s no point in increasing road capacity outside of the busy times a bus lane is needed. You might as well make them active all the time by default, then there’s no confusion. If it’s to allow parking - tough. There should be no parking on a bus corridor.
