the thought occurred to me, and i verified when i got home, that it might just be a timer moving npcs between scenes. sure enough, it's an exact 5 seconds between locations for the npcs. so much simpler to try and do! wish i'd looked at that earlier!!
however, this was based on a misconception of how the original MNOLGII moved its npcs around. since i'm going for a stylistic match, i thought i was emulating a system that tracked the size of scenes and how far apart their exits were. but then today i realized, that's not how it worked at all!
had hit a rough patch on the game trying to get the "puppeteer" system (npc controller) working. was trying this super complex system of linkage nodes from scene to scene, moving out-of-scene npcs between them to their destination, and it was getting extremely clunky and bulky.
Trying not to jump to the inevitable conclusion here but it would be easier to deal with being turned down for work if i couldn't also see how many mediocre or actively detrimental people get to just plop down into a job. I can do stuff i just don't interview particularly well. It all sucks.
Incredible how so many people still have "raise awareness" politics. Pritzker was saying the same thing while his cops beat the people he was telling to be out there.
once again hungry at work on a friday night so i ordered a basic grill/press. been thinking about it constantly i think it's the right call. could be an unstoppable force when paired with the bread maker (infinite hot sandwiches).
average democrat, speaking "to" ice goons: We know this isn't what you signed up for, and we're here when you're ready to join us and work for a future together.
I'm wishy washy on the appearance as a concept, but the movie as a whole suffers from being structured around, and resolving entirely on, "hey remember this guy?"
