tl;dr: despite their outwardly granola visuals, the average Subaru owner doesn't actually give a shit about the environment, which TBH, tracks.
-Interestingly, more than a third of future Subaru buyers would consider buying their new Subaru if it were a plug-in hybrid or full EV. But again, purchase intention for those more advanced electrified powertrains is much, much lower at 10% and 9% (respectively).

So how do we fix this?

The Democrats are constantly begging for money so they can completely fuck up basic shit like finding candidates to run for critical offices
NEWS: No one filed to challenge two conservative/Republican justices on the Nevada supreme court who are up for reelection this year. The deadline was a few days ago.

They will run for new terms unopposed.

Counterpoint: Twitter was never truly a "town square." It was just a bunch of people yelling at each other, desperately trying to get noticed and only rarely succeeding, adding value to the external discourse even more when they did.

Reminder that Congress could, you know, do something since they do have final say over tariffs.
New tariff just dropped.

Americans set to pay an additional 10% tax on all goods from Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

It starts in two weeks, rising to 25% by June.

(Aside: A trade war with one EU country is a trade war with the entire EU).

That sound you heard was FiatChrysler sales cratering north of the 49th parallel.
BREAKING: Canada has eliminated its 100% tariff on Chinese EVs.

Annual sales cap starts at 49k units, growing up to 70k within the next 5 years.

This is HUGE.

Watch of the day: picked up this San Martin SN0151, which is one of their original designs, from someone who flipped it to me for $199. Still on the fence if I like the design, but for the price, it's a heck of a deal: painted guilloche mother-of-pearl dial, Miyota 905S, 200M W/R, OTF micro-adjust.

Weird coincidence, he says we shouldn't have midterms on the same day he threatens to invoke the Insurrection Act and send the army into a state he lost. Maybe a third thing will make it a trend so pundits can write about it.

The only way they could improve this design would be to completely scrap it and replace it with a 1,000 rent-controlled apartments.

If this man loses his job and the UAW says and does nothing, then the UAW is utterly dead as a union (which is what I suspect will happen and to be true).
If he gets canned he will make many years worth of salary on a Go Fund Me before he wins his grievance through the union.

What are the chances this was all set up without Jack Daniels' knowledge and then they were cold pitched on "an amazing sponsorship opportunity"?
New: CBS News seems to be preparing a new segment called "Whiskey Fridays with Tony Dokoupil," per sources.

Some staff were only first made aware of it as they encountered CBS testing out set designs of a faux-stocked bar in the newsroom, featuring a large sponsor banner for Jack Daniels.
