Bummed, albeit not surprised Hyundai is axing its Santa Cruz. It was a really cool, usable compact lifestyle truck but it just couldn't find enough buyers.
A lack of hybridization and its higher-than-Maverick were the biggest penalties, but that integrated hard roll-up tonneau cover was *genius*.

Tesla’s ‘unsupervised’ Robotaxis vanish a week after pre-earnings announcement
A week ago, Elon Musk announced that Tesla had started Robotaxi rides in Austin “with no safety monitor in the car.” The stock jumped 4%. Headlines celebrated the milestone. But since then, not a single rider has reported actually getting one of these unsupervised rides.
The announcement came on January 22, just days before a major ice storm hit Austin and, conveniently, less than a week before Tesla’s Q4 2025 earnings report today.
The service has started back since then, but no one is getting the “unsupervised” rides.

-Manual.
-Wagon or hatchback.
-Plug-in hybrid or EREV.
-Roof rack, heated seats and steering wheel, basic ADAS.
-40/20/40 split-folding rear bench.
-Physical buttons and switchgear.
Tis a damn shame no such thing actually exists.

Reading rumors about Jaguar possibly pivoting to hybrids instead of its full-EV powertrain plans...and while the automaker has denied any such claims, I still think the brand is doomed IF they do end up going only-EV.
