California PSA: when you see a luxury car with Montana plates, that’s a CA resident who illegally registered out of state to avoid paying $10k+ in taxes and DMV fees. On the highest-end sports cars or an AMG Mercedes, it’s equivalent to a teacher’s salary. Definitely don’t vandalize these cars.

Larry Summers’ staff gave him 3 options for 2009 stimulus plans: roughly $800b, $1.2t, and $1.8t. Larry just didn’t like the idea of saying “trillion” so he only showed Obama the $800b and a nonsense $600b he basically invented. The Great Recession then tailed on for 2 years longer than necessary.
