I’m an ally. I grew up near the swamp with WaPo in my crib. I’m all about politics, at least here. I learn by following those much smarter than me. And I influence by asking them questions and presenting newish ideas.

Trump has posted on Truth Social about 65 times in the last 90 minutes, including a video he posted at 8:44 PM PT describing election fraud lies that shows racist AI images of Michelle and Barack Obama as monkeys at the end. I’ve confirmed this is real and watched it myself.

The DOJ inexplicably released files with loads of victims names, like they have never used a search bar. Why? Retribution? No. The survivors are demanding they ALL get taken down and appoint a special master. This is why. To gum up review and further delay releasing the really nasty stuff. Clever?

Seems real bad that the end point of ~25 years of War on Terror architecture is an agency of thin-skinned goons who will send armed men to your house if you email the government asking for compassion on behalf of someone else.

WRONG. I-205 administrative warrants are not issued by immigration judges. They’re signed by ICE officers. And EVEN IF THEY WERE issued by an immigration judge - they are executive branch employees, NOT judicial branch. JUDICIAL warrants are needed to enter a home without consent.
Q: You're a constitutional lawyer. Can you detail the 4th Amendment protections someone has if ICE approaches their home w/an administrative warrant?

MIKE JOHNSON: When ICE goes to execute a warrant, it's issued by an immigration judge, & that is a sufficient legal authority to go apprehend someone

This is a deeply important piece. "A tool meant to make D.M.V. data sharing frictionless for law enforcement agencies also acts like a privacy Trojan horse, because agencies don’t need just cause or a warrant to look at it."

It’s important to realize that the subtext of Trump freaking out at Kaitlan Collins when she asks him what he’d say to the Epstein survivors is that she may in practice be asking what he’d say to the *Trump* survivors, and they both know that. A well worded question
This isn’t some anonymous tip. This is sworn testimony, under penalty of perjury, from someone who said Trump threatened to kill her if she exposed Epstein’s sexual abuse.

This would be akin to President Biden speaking to the FBI agents right before they searched Mar-a-Lago. I'm sure Republicans would have been totally fine with that.

Behind closed doors, Tulsi Gabbard met with some of the FBI field agents responsible for the Georgia election office raid.

During the meeting, she called Trump.

Trump addressed the agents on speakerphone, asking them questions as well as praising them for their work on the inquiry.
