They're endlessly corrupt and cruel. But we all know that.
It's that we're not stopping them — except occasionally, briefly, in an ad hoc way, thanks to some individual judge.

From what I can tell reading the news, the current U.S. administration let Russia write a plan for what Ukraine should do about Russia's assault on Ukraine. Boggles the mind.

My occasional reminder that, as a nation, we've let Donald Trump order murders on the open sea, fire people who research cures for disease and warn us of disasters, sell meme coins and trucker hats from the White House, order a wing of the White House to be torn down. We're puny against one man.
