I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow to hopefully get a formal diagnosis for both POTS & EDS, along with potentially MCAS.
Does anyone who has gone through this have any advice or resource recommendations? I’m worried I won’t be taken seriously about my symptoms.

Epic has a new AI summary generating tool, and I noticed that it completely hallucinated a GI bleed for one of my patients last night.

If you are struggling to find ways that you can make a positive difference in the world, even just watching for opportunities in your daily life is something. We can't all push back safely depending on the context, but if you can, take the opportunity.

And if you are concerned about ICE being deployed for voter intimidation, find a local voting rights org who is already doing the work.
Start with Vote Riders. States having weird/changing Voter ID laws is less flashy for scaring folks but it works real well.

Each arrest takes like a half dozen agents. They just don’t have the manpower for this. I am not even sure where the marginal utility of this type of thing would be. Maybe if they concentrated their efforts in one congressional district or something.
One of my biggest fears about the midterms is that ICE could flood the polls with agents who perform Kavanaugh Stops on every non-white person before they get a chance to cast a ballot, then detain them until voting is over. Which is not far-fetched at this point. www.huffpost.com/entry/ice-po...

1) Everyone is registered
2) they haven't been purged if they WERE registered
3) they know what ID they need
4) they can get that ID

I often have to remind myself that I am not and have never been a woman, like in women's spaces and perceived as one, yes, but never actually one in a fundamental way. It's weird how we gaslight ourselves.

But also: a clear view of just how long those teefers are.
I can understand why a good, hard, meaningful cat bite could send someone to the ER, those things don't mess around.

I continue to recommend the book "The Most Human Human", it's probably the first good book I read about AI back in, I dunno *checks publication date* probably 2012 and it does a great job looking into how humans and AI interact and what the Turing test actually is.

Anyway, I guess I'd recommend (and I know that people doing good journalism often don't have a lot of resources in this regard) brushing up on victim and survivor-centered communication methods if you're someone reporting out on some of these things.
