Because being rich *is* wrong.

Being a millionaire is a fundamentally unethical and immoral way of existing in the word.

If you're trying to battle 'wealth shame', how about giving most of your fucking money away?
When being rich feels wrong: Inside the world of millionaires battling ‘wealth shame’
As the gulf grows between the haves and the have-nots, feelings of discomfort around being rich can be a natural response. Helen Coffey reports on how ‘guilt’ about being wealthy can be a powerful mot...

I get boycotting Amazon. I think we should, but quote-skeeting disabled, BIPOC, and/or queer folks who are showing their books for sale on Amazon with ZERO intention of promoting their non-Zon wares, you're being part of another problem.

Maybe share alternate links instead of shouting them down?

UK folk, cancel your TV license.
In the span of a hour, they stealth edited the article from trans woman to "biological male who identifies as a woman." The BBC isn't fit for purpose.
It looks like that BBC page has been updated in the last few minutes, so that's no longer the last sentence. I think part of it has been moved to this paragraph in the middle of the article, and the age is no longer mentioned:

I also read indie because there you can get trans books without it being about how hard it is to be trans and how much we suffer for being trans and how horrible the trans experience is because that's all the cis acquisition editors want: Cis-approved versions of trans suffering.
I am a sucker for books with transfem leads.

That’s why I read mostly indie.

Not every transfem indie book turns out to be outstanding, but at least I get to do the gatekeeping, not a cis acquisitions editor in New York.

As one of rather few trans women with a Big 5 publishing contract, I hope people will buy my book or borrow it from a library. Not just because I need money, but because I want to retain that access. Trans women's books should be in bookstores and libraries, and publishers like to see line go up 1/3
