For its 25th anniversary, "Jin-Roh" movie is getting a 4K remaster (from the original 35mm film negatives).
Coming in March 2026 in Japan (theaters + physical release).
The UHD/Blu-ray is up for preorders and includes english dub+subs.

I've been watching alot of 90s Anime recently and this sort of soundscape specifically was so common but I just love it so much.

I've been watching alot of 90s Anime recently and this sort of soundscape specifically was so common but I just love it so much.

Remember when Netflix had to redo the dub for A.I.C.O. Incarnation because it was done by non native English speakers and the quality was so-so at best?
This is a thousand times worse and not worth a single watt of power used to create it.

Coming to the end of my Patlabor TV/New Files ending rewatch and I don't know why it has taken this long to get under my skin BUT the obsession with reverb in the dub is sending me for a loop!
It's used in almost every scene. The new files eps especially 90% of the lines have reverb.

The "Golgo 13" anime (from 1971) will be released on Blu-ray in Japan.
This series was considered lost until the masters were found two years ago.

I did it! I finally beat Black Deck on Gold Stake in Balatro completing my journey to gold sticker all 15 decks which equates to 120 wins.
Really buzzing right now. God I love this damn game.

The sound effects work for Patlabor TV was originally done by Yasufumi Yoda of Fizz Sound Creation.
However after the broadcast ended, all the sound mixes were redone for LD onwards by E&M Planning Center to sound closer to the OVAs and movies.
