DC United announce end-of-season roster decisions
DC United is now officially starting to look toward next season. Today, the club announced their end-of-season roster decisions, which inform everyone who they've decided to retain by exercising contract options. “Roster decisions are never easy, but they are a necessary part of building a competitive team,” said general manager Erkut Sogut in a statement. “We thank the players whose options were not exercised for their contributions and wish them the best moving forward.

The news has swirled around Trinity Rodman's contract negotiations the past couple of weeks, and today an unlikely candidate entered the race. According to a report from The Athletic's Meg Linehan and Tom Bogert, DC Power has offered Trinity Rodman a contract that is "significantly larger" than anything the Washington Spirit or any other NWSL team is able to offer under the current salary cap.

dunno if i'll ever be over tara mckeown's journey. spent her entire college career, plus TWO pro seasons, as a forward. one offseason they said hey wanna be a center back, she said lol wut ok, started in central defense from day 1, got on the uswnt, and just won defender of the year. WHATDOUMEAN.
