Kate Rogers is now gone from the #Alamo. 🙁 The site was making such terrific progress in its redevelopment as a more honest landmark.

You see things like revisionist history happening in other parts of the country, but this is now happening here in my home. My beautiful city does not deserve this.

Kate is gone as of this morning. 🙁 This is awful. I wish the board had more faith in her & more gumption to contend with Lt. Gov. Patrick. The Alamo has been making such terrific progress in its redevelopment. I hope whoever replaces her is just as—if not, more—effective with the site’s trajectory.

I remember when he was in office the first time that the Alt NPS stepped up to boldly oppose him. I wondered, Why them? Why not Alt DOD or some other federal agency? It’s not until now that I’m realizing public lands are his easiest targets. My heart breaks for these staffers who are being cut.

I saw this news earlier today and thought of you. 🙁 I know you’re not in Alaska, but threats to natural lands affect all of us. We are under attack not from without but from within, and I am pleading for someone to save us—we have to be the ones to do it, but it feels like it’s not happening at all.

Abhora is like a completely changed monster this season, I don’t know what kinda journey she’s been on, but it’s really great to see. And even though I’m not a huge fan of Evah, I think that, like Abhora, she’s getting little airtime as well. Wonder what the next episode holds. 🤩

In 2016, I made sure two of my friends voted. Neither of them had ever voted before, and I was so pleased they did so. I tasked them with finding two more of their friends to vote (or even their kids, since they were of voting age), but I don’t know if that ever happened. 😟 I tried to do my part.
