On the other hand, how likely was it going to be that they'd go 0-3 versus the Pelicans
No Giddey, No Coby White, yet the Bulls take down the Pelicans 134-118 with eight players scoring in double figures.

Micah Peavy 6 points in 5 minutes for the Pelicans tonight. Drafted 40th in June.

Bulls had #45 selection, traded down to the Lakers who then went up to #36 just using cash.

A history of the Bulls' utter disregard of 2nd Round Picks
the AKME era, purportedly about player development and needing to win on the margins, has eschewed an entire type of league currency

TWolves blow out Bulls by 30
Hawks without Trae blow out TWolves by 30
Hawks with Trae lose two straight to Bulls
you know what's really interesting about this hawks game is trae young is not playing in it

Bulls announced (!) that it's going to be weeks, not days, for all three of Giddey, White, and Collins.

www.nba.com/bulls/news/c...

The Bulls have already told us that injured iterations of their team shouldn't count (unless they win games)
New post! While nobody was paying attention to the Bulls, they gave even more reason not to pay attention

(that said you should still click and subscribe to this Bulls blog)

"Meaningless December" doesn't have the same alliteration as March
Checking in on the Bulls, oh look they're slightly below average and long-term hopeless again

Yup

Whether Giddey was going to get All-Star selection or not, 100% certainty end of season AK will say "Josh was an All-Star to us"
Bulls are basically even with Giddey on and -10 with him off. Giddey + Coby (who will also miss time) both off is -13.6. The schedule is super packed with 17 games if one or both misses a month.

Giddey was having an awesome year playing like a fringe All-Star. Just a huge bummer.

I mean...just calling it "tightness" could mean not good news, but that the Bulls are not being totally transparent with injuries

We declared the tank dead on the pod yesterday and then the Bulls go and lose by 30 at home again while Coby and Giddey leave with injuries. Maybe it’s back on again? (Probably not)

Typical Bulls injury update. Vague and communicated only via the head coach.

I'm convinced they like it that way so they can use up media time otherwise directed at performance

Alright I will have to consider just the 6 games where literally everyone was healthy, a total normal sample for an NBA front office to assess their team
Billy Donovan didn’t know the severity of Zach Collins’ injury after the game on Saturday.

Turns out, it’ll cost Collins at least one game.

Meanwhile, Josh Giddey is listed as “probable” for Bulls/Timberwolves on Monday.

Joe Cowley with a weird metaphor. I suppose the 'bridge' is made with rope?

Also there is nothing to how 'amicable' talks were, Bulls are capped on an early extension offer so it always had to wait until offseason

Vuc has taken the role of the fun police this year, win or lose

If anyone's worry was that AK would make a panic trade, rest assured this 5 in 6 "once we got Isaac back" will paralyze him from doing anything 'disruptive'
December 24, 2025 at 3:47 AM
And again in the play-in tournament
Oof. Hawks blow a 13-point fourth-quarter lead, lose second straight home game to the Bulls 126-123.

These teams will meet again on April 14.
December 24, 2025 at 3:37 AM
Well now it's 4.5 games back. Bulls entrenched in 10 seed all year?
December 23, 2025 at 3:38 AM
this is an example of 'building, while competitive', the goal this season, has been a failure

Pat had his umpteenth opportunity with so many injuries to the rotation, and the team couldn't maintain competitiveness. Same with Dalen Terry and Julian Phillips (let alone Noa Essengue)
Patrick Williams has slowly slipped down to the end of the Bulls bench.

Midway through his fifth season, the highest Chicago draft pick in more than a decade is at danger of becoming the last man in the rotation:
Is Patrick Williams on his way to becoming the 11th man for the Chicago Bulls?
As the Chicago Bulls recalibrate around the return of injured players, it’s clear Patrick Williams is losing priority in the team’s depth chart.

Bulls versus Hawks for two
even more rare, both games in Atlanta

Do oddsmakers not know Isaac Okoro and Zach Collins are back?
The Hawks are 5-point home favorites this afternoon against the Bulls… if you enjoy that sort of thing.

No Porzingis for Atlanta, but Trae Young is available to play.

Cody White is questionable for Chicago with an ankle issue.

(PSA: It’s a 3:30 pm ET game)

Same thing tonight. I don't want to watch mid Bulls basketball, only bad Bulls basketball.

At least it looks like tonight Matas played a lot and well
🤔Spoiled myself on the Bulls game, but I'm only interested if they're getting embarrassed so it's a real time-saver

Bucks lost again, but it was to the Hornets, who are 5-5 in last ten and only 2.5 games behind Bulls. 👀

even setting aside AK is dogshit at trades and has no motivation to make a 'sell' trade, the unfortunate situation is that Bulls role players are valuable most to a aspirational-middling team like the Bulls. I don't think a playoff team is seeking out Tre Jones

Maybe if you packaged multiple.
