On A Pale Horse by Piers Anthony. Good book when you look past the misogyny. Thankfully, the main character of Death was likable and made me want to keep reading.

1.3 polite menace, that'll be my brand. I love historical fiction so there were sooooooo many possibilities. I considered another in the magpie Lord series, or another reread The Axe Man's Jazz or The Book Thief. But in the end I went for this, not read this one before.

1.07 This is Happening (a book with an orange cover)
The Martian by Andy Wier. I really liked the movie and the book is even better: it's fun, touching and made me held my breath even if I already know how it was going to end.
