He/Him. I read, I watch, I write. Also a Tumblrino. (http://fillingthescrapbook.tumblr.com)
There are some days when all you want to do is cry. And I know I don't have to ask permission from anyone to do it. To just close the door and give myself the space to let the tears fall. And yet... And yet.

I wish I wasn't as messed up as I am.

Every single time a story like this is reported, we must assume that there are many many more that do not.
CBP didn’t give her or anyone any water; she asked 3 times accg to other reports. CBP killed a 7yr old.

The girl's death underscores the crisis precipitated by large groups of families seeking asylum where there are inadequate facilities to detain them.

I watched PONIES because of Vic Michaelis and the show is actually pretty good. I'm now a Haley Lu Richardson fan. (Also: Vic is amazing in this show.)

Is my constant need for validation connected to my general feeling of everything being my fault? Who can ever tell?

Haley Lu Richardson's interview segment on Seth Meyers had big Corrections energy. Loved it.

Portland's Mayor:

“To those who continue to make these sickening decisions, go home, look in a mirror, and ask yourselves why you have gassed children."

“Ask yourselves why you continue to work for an agency responsible for murders on American streets.”

Reading the news; just when you think they've found the most evil person to lead--they find an even more evil person to replace the newly scaped goat. (Yes, I know scaped isn't a real word.)

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Hearing about an acquaintance becoming a "diva" when I knew them as someone grounded and kind; I can't help but wonder if the diva was there all along and success made them unafraid to hide their true self. Kinda makes me sad.

Alex Pretti "used to tell people off when they made sexist comments to female physicians. He bought me coffee when I had a really bad day as an intern...I laughed alongside him daily. He made a point to teach medical residents without judgement, but with a smile on his face and a joke."

It's only been 19 days since the year started but I'm already clinging to the hope-punk messaging of Gladlands like my life depends on it.

If it's true that Entwistle's take on PR hewed close to Shattered Grid, I'm glad it didn't push through. People gotta start accepting that Power Rangers thrive on a charcuterie of cheesy goodness. A mature take on a childhood franchise does not always equal a good story.

I understand stakes. But if certain characters are brought in only to be killed? People are not gonna be happy. Do them right, Russos. If they die, there better be a good fucking reason. (I'm still pissed about the shit Multiverse of Madness pulled. Which, I know, too much energy for just a movie.)

Now that it's out for purchase... Wicked: For Good is such a disappointment. The first movie added so much (muted) color to the musical, and even added some more bits from the novel that inspired the musical. Why did For Good have to feel like watching a movie by its soundtrack?

I updated my payment information on Dropout and now I have a Link/com account that I didn't sign up for. And they (Link/com via VHX dba Vimeo OTT) want me to verify my e-mail. To do what? What is going on, @dropout.tv?

Seeing reactions to Wicked sequel... I get why the musical decided to end the way it did. It's supposed to be an escape. But I'm sad that the movie adaptation didn't hew closer to the book source. Specifically with Fiyero's ending.

Why are AI "tools" and "smart features" always already turned on when they are introduced? Why am I forced to opt out manually? If it's such a good feature, trust the people to turn it on. Why you gotta be sneaky about it?

I love Onya, but the reigning champions of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17 are the Kori Cinematic-Universe Nonconforming Toot and the demonic Betty Bop.
