I’m really disappointed in everyone with a platform that isn’t speaking out against injustice. I see the behavior and taking notes. Notes for who I won’t be working with or collaborating with in the future. Too many worried about their follower count and not their own morals.

On Twitter in 2016 I made a conscious call to split my magic and politics content, and it got such that folks didnt even know I was a priest and organizer. On bsky I decided to fuse the two because this is the world I live in. My numbers have suffered hugely but I can't play cards if I'm dead.

We are all drowning in a pool of systemic propaganda so I understand why the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti feel esp shocking and I think it is important to do the internal work of asking yourself, if this applies to you, why the deaths of immigrants/Black folks don't shock in the same way

I have been thinking all day about the number of times unarmed Black people were killed by police on the pretext that their cell phone looked like a gun. And people would say “oh but you just don‘t know what the truth is.” Well here it is.
