RHP Trevor Gott is in agreement on a minor league deal with the Nationals, per @ken-rosenthal.bsky.social.

He returns to the Nats after eight years. He spent the 2016-18 seasons with Washington after being acquired from the Angels in a trade for Yunel Escobar.

Team just announced a 2026 deal with Luis García Jr. Only Cade Cavalli still to finalize.
Nationals announce they've agreed to terms on 2026 contracts with CJ Abrams, MacKenzie Gore and Jake Irvin, avoiding arbitration with all three. Still have until 8 p.m. to work out deals with Luis Garcia Jr. and Cade Cavalli before filing for arbitration.

Foster Griffin just met with reporters on Zoom. He said he's excited to return to the major leagues and have a chance to be a starter again with the Nats. So we know he'll be in competition for the rotation this spring.

Paul Toboni and Ani Kilambi just had a Zoom session with reporters. They didn't meet at Cal, but got to know each other through their baseball experiences.

Said Toboni: "If Ani went to Stanford, I would hate that, but he would probably still be in this seat."
