If you look closely, you can see that some of the petals don't align. That is due to the flowers moving slightly between scans.

I bought an old Nikon Labophot microscope base off ebay. I modified it to hold my camera with an objective attached. I now have fine focus and a moveable stage. Still, imaging this little stuff is really hard. Copepod from a nearby stream. #microscope #photomicroscopy #photography #macro #nature

2016. Scanning 3D objects can be a challenge. Scanners have zero depth of field. The transparency lid has to be raised to clear the subject. Sometimes it works. A wacky looking tulip from our garden. #scanner #scannerphotography #flowers #tulips #garden #nature #naturephotography #eastcoastkin

We have a couple of stands of Ironweed (Vernonia) around the house. It's a strange plant. Grows quickly to over 5 feet high with clusters of really tiny purple flowers. Some don't like it.
