I'm now scanning the photos I took at the USPRO race that was held in Philly from 1985 til 2011 (under several names). Again, I'm finding gems that were hidden until I scanned and processed them.

My back catalog scans continue. Canaan 24 Hour. 1997. Pretty amazing what you can do with 'camera' scans. (Read ALT). This image was almost unusable. But Kodachrome is (was) a remarkable film. The detail in the shadows is unreal.

From 1997. Kodachrome, probably 64. This shot was scanned using a Canon 5DSr camera with a 100mm macro lens. The original shot was about 2 stops under-exposed. I shot 4 images in the scan each one stop different than the others. These shots were then combined in Lightroom Classic using Photomerge HDR. This image is almost 30 years old. Stored in the original box, the colors are still vivid.

If you look closely, you can see that some of the petals don't align. That is due to the flowers moving slightly between scans.
