Marceline our rescue kitten has begun to integrate into the household nicely. We have slowly introduced her to the indoor cats over months and she now is a frequent visitor inside (especially on cold nights.

We rewatched the halftime show and the closing is so powerful. Bad Bunny’s final messages during his Super Bowl performance:
“The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”
“Together, we are America.”

I am so in love with our new porch cat Marceline. She forgave me after I took her to get her fixed and she is still making herself very comfortable on our porch. She is such a little hunter too.

Here is Josh’s new hip. Titanium! We are almost a week out from surgery and he’s slowly making progress. Still has his dystonic spasms, but he’s a little more stable at least.

Whee, we get Josh’s new robot hip tomorrow. He’s very upset the surgeon can’t let him keep the ball of his femur so he can use it as a cane topper.

Friends, a bit of good news! 🎉 (We take it whenever we can!)

The Trump admin reversed their decision to cut funding for the Women's Health Initiative (WHI), a landmark study that’s essential in advancing our understanding of women’s health. 🙌
In a reversal, the Trump administration restores funding for women's health study
The unexpected elimination of funding for the decades-long research project focused on women's health shocked scientists. They were heartened by the quick restoration of support.

What Senator Van Hollen did was important. It got Americans focused on the extrajudicial shenanigans of the Trump administration. And the resulting blowback rattled Trump. It is no coincidence that the very next day he starting distancing him from decisions to sling Garcia into a concentration camp.
Van Hollen: This case is not just about one man. It's about protecting the Constitutional rights of everybody who resides in the United States of America.

The Dallas ICE office is involved in a mass removal effort targeting nearly 200 people — many without removal orders — scheduled to be deported to El Salvador today.

This is not just cruel – it is lawless. I refuse to stay quiet while families are being torn apart, and lives are being put at risk.

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

Oh dear you’re going to want to read this. Looks like DOGErs were caught exfiltrating NLRB data, likely on unions, for private (seemingly Elony) use. This is must read. What we’ve all suspected. But now details. www.npr.org/2025/04/15/n...
A whistleblower's disclosure details how DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data
A whistleblower tells Congress and NPR that DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data and hid its tracks. "None of that ... information should ever leave the agency," said a former NLRB official.
