84 years ago today, our nation was attacked at Pearl Harbor.

In the face of that darkness, America united and rose to the challenge. We remember the lives lost and honor the courage of those who stood against fascism.

Haven't heard anything about it being Pearl Harbor Day on the radio, nor seen any mention of it in the newspapers/news sources other than MPR so far. We are losing our history.
In advance of a new veterans museum being built in Little Falls, an online Pearl Harbor remembrance event will be held today at 4 p.m. Anyone is welcome to participate and share stories about loved ones who were at Pearl Harbor.

I was just looking up our "mountain" in MN, and had a giggle about how Google Maps shows it on the snipped map. lol

I'm surprised there has been no commentary about how the demolition of the East Wing, the location of the First Lady's offices, reflects a certain amount of contempt for past and current First Ladies. Just sayin'.

Volunteering in the archives, the ghosts of old volunteers were playing with me. I couldn't find a box of 1950s phone directories only to find it on my table. I didn't pull it, and I was entirely alone. I was in the same area searching for a yearbook, that was not where it should be. 1/3

I can't help but think about the end of the Civil War, the period know as the Reconstruction Era, where freed slaves, poor people and laborers started to discover they had more in common than not. And then how the rich people and people in power worked to end that by making them hate each other. Hmm

How long do we have to endure this bullshit and incompetence? Asking for a friend.

In other news, here's a picture of a Monarch on Northern Blazing Star I captured on my walk the other day. Enjoy.

Someday I would like to work for a place where every project is not a five alarm fire. Do those places exist?

One of my project leads corrected me when I described the project as chaotic. "Actually, it's more like insanity."

That does not help.

Beautiful Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis, Minnesota today. Good to see, and hear, so much thundering power coming over courtesy of all the rain we've had this season! It was so loud!
