It's very cold and rainy with the Nor'Easter moving through New England and the animals seem to be hiding away right now. Ergo, I am sharing a photo I choose to call "Goose Noir" from this past spring.

I have a backlog of shorebirds from last weekend that I haven't had time to process and share yet.

Not every birds nest is successful. A pair of #AmericanRobins did not secure their nest strongly enough and it tipped over, causing an egg to smash to the ground. There's still another egg in the nest but I'm not sure if they're still tending to it.

Yesterday morning was overcast with no sign of golden hour in sight, but I had the pleasure of watching a #RedTailedHawk eat breakfast, and I witnessed the moment it ripped the entrails out of its prey and threw them atop the street lamp for easy access.
