What can Canada do to stop the #ICE attacks in the United States? Beyond offering solidarity, we can:

☑️ Demand that Canada prevent the sale of armoured vehicles to ICE
☑️ Demand the companies like @Hootsuite end any contracts with ICE

We can do this, and we must.

Carney Stands by Greenland, Urges Allies to Unite Against ‘Coercion’
Canada stands completely behind Greenland and Denmark, and the world’s middle powers must work together to resist coercion from aggressive superpowers, according to Prime Minister Mark Carney.

This decision should be a no-brainer. The federal government’s extreme slowness in actually announcing physical support for the European defence of Greenland is itself problematic and should lead to deeper questions about Carney’s overall US strategy.
Opinion: Canada must stand with Europe in its defence of Greenland if we know what’s good for us
If we don’t, we might be next on Trump’s list

Canada must not do this. It is a mockery of international political governance, legitimizing the idea that Trump can simply push aside other countries' sovereignty.

If Ottawa’s silence continues, who will stand up for us if Washington puts our own country in its crosshairs?

What will it take for Canada to call out America’s violations of international law?

My latest, in the Toronto Star: www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...
Canada must stand up to Donald Trump — or there will be no one to stand up for Canada
Does Canada have a red line for Donald Trump's behaviour? If so, what does Trump have to do for the Canadian government to find its spine, let alone its elbows?

I am in no way an expert at geopolitics or economics.

But it occurs to me, that with Trump wanting to break Canada by economic means, and seizing oil production & sales in Venezuela, Canada would be safer if we moved away from selling oil.

Replace oil sales with wind & solar tech.
