According to U.S. census data released just this June, 22 percent of americans speak a language other than English at home. He's an idiot.
Also, Trump is on pace to sign 280 executive orders in a year. Let that sink in. That's more than most Presidents do in 8. If he keeps up that rate, it would put his yearly average at number 2, after first term FDR. Who was dealing with a few more things than Trump is. 😒

The Founders knew Congress - especially the House - was the backbone of U.S. democracy. It should be a huge story that Mike Johnson, serving Trump, has all but shut it down

From the Reichstag Fire to Putin's toothless Duma, this is what dictators do. My new column www.inquirer.com/columnists/a...

Nope, that is essential his job.
Don't give them any ideas. 🤣
Never mentioned the left or right. I don't think you and I disagree. I'm just always wary of words that can mean different things to different people.
Yeah, but if you're talking about the general populace, the south didn't vote on the 13th and was forced to vote positive on the 14th as a condition of readmittance. Also the suffrage movement often marginalized women of color.

A very incomplete list of things we wouldn't have done if we waited for the normies to care:

- abolish slavery
- child labor laws
- votes for women
- social security
- fdic
- welfare
- medicare
- medicaid
- desegregation
- women's sports
"normies do not care about this thing and so it is no use raising a stink" is imho just an excuse for not doing politics, which is the job of making normies care about something

Folks, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. This was perhaps the worst week of broken norms since I started this project in 2016. I made this week's list free with the hope that you will read it in its entirety to gain a full understanding of what is happening. PLS SHARE!

This is what every non-psychopath should be saying regardless of party. This includes the media as well. The fact that this statement is getting this much attention just because a Republican said it, is just another shake my head moment. 🙄 🤦🏾‍♂️

The best time to abolish ICE would have been in 2021. The next best time is if we win in 2028. At this point, any Democrat unwilling to abolish ICE must be drummed out of the primary.
ICE is stockpiling arms, including chemical weapons, guided missile warheads and explosive components. The spending dwarfs anything we've ever seen in the agency - a 700% increase.

The President is building an army to attack his own country.
This administration doesn't feel the need to prove anything, and frankly isn't being required to by anyone.

AOC: And they are able to radicalize a generation of young boys in particular, away from healthy masculinity and into an insecure masculinity that requires the domination of others who are poorer, browner, darker, or a different gender than them.
Have you ever figured out why so much of the Democrat leadership seems lackadaisical about defending their own voters?
The concept that actions have consequences is considered unfair by too many people.

It's wild that we've reached a point where the President openly admits to firing people for political reasons, and his OMB director tweets about it like it's a victory. This is page one of the authoritarian playbook, happening in plain sight.
The last sentence is the important one. Making sure everyone is aligned with a shared vision. In other words the news will be reported the way she thinks it should be presented.

Be nice if any single national Democrat promised to hold these fuckwads accountable for malicious prosecution should the wheel ever turn around.

But, whatever. Everybody who opposes Trump will just have to weather this bullshit.

/6 If you are stuck in the McArdlian view "we can't think of the other side of evil" -- which I view as sociopathic -- I have to ask, is there ANYTHING they can do that will make you call it evil? Is there ANYTHING they can do that won't make you say "I should focus on finding common ground?"

They don't care about hypocrisy. Just keep spewing hate. Their base loves it. Despite all the excuses made for their base by "understanding democrats", this is what rallies their base. Not the economy, healthcare, education or anything else. Watch a rally, this is what they cheer.
