This may be a wrong-headed "observation" but I think I enjoy reading older comics more than recent ones because I FEEL LIKE (not certain here) there was an understanding that it was a more niche audience with different needs.

Watching From Dusk Til Dawn realizing I don't really see movies now that exude a sense of "this is Cool" (in its own world, even if it's not necessarily irl).
Why? Don't they make them? Am I just out of touch? Is everyone cynical now?
