This kind of behavior by the Dept. of Justice is destroying the integrity of that department with the Judiciary.
With the Trump administration and some of its lawyers operating at the highest levels of incompetence, dishonesty, and malevolence, many courts no longer presume regularity and are, at least implicitly, presuming the opposite, i.e., procedural irregularity, lies, deception, and pretext.

Remarkable. The cruelty really is the point for this regime. And not just for Trump. For his enablers and supporters as well.
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Because of the Republican shutdown, Utah families will stop receiving SNAP benefits on November 1st. This will literally take food off the tables of almost 90,000 Utah families, all because Trump and congressional Republicans won’t come to the table to negotiate.
