The US president has always had the power to end the genocide whenever he wants. Trump didn't "negotiate a deal," he finally called off the war, which was within US's power.

The reason he shouldn't be praised is that there is nothing praiseworthy about ending your own genocide.

In August 2025, he briefed Trump on the plan he had been working on for several months with Tony Blair and Steve Witkoff to shape what the Trump team calls its “day-after” blueprint for Gaza. It’s worth revisiting how Kushner himself has spoken about the Strip.

At a Harvard Kennedy School event in early 2024, Kushner argued that Israel should “move the people out [of Rafah] and then clean it up,” describing Gaza as “not really a historical precedent” but the product of past wars whose borders could naturally change again. When told that Arab leaders feared Israel would never allow displaced Gazans to return, he replied, “Maybe, but I’m not sure there’s much left of Gaza at this point,” before describing the enclave as “waterfront property” which would be “very valuable.”

Israel has been attacking al-Shifa since Oct. 7.2023, killing Palestinian health care workers and patients, and leaving most of the hospital in ruins.
Hospitals are protected under international law.

Before destroying Gaza City's Mushtaha Tower, Israel published a 3D video animation of the tower's interior.
Part of the video contained elements from a boat-building workshop from the Scottish Maritime Museum.
It also contained scans of a parking lot and electrical meter taken from a content creator.

This aligns with Israel and the IDF's long history of exploiting others' resources and employing every means possible to promote baseless claims. What is especially troubling, however, is how such fabricated content is uncritically accepted and amplified by mainstream media outlets.
