100% agree. When the system of checks & balances fails, the last line of defence is the people. Things will keep getting worse until there is large scale disruptive direct action and civil disobedience that doesn't stop until all the criminals in power are out.
We need a huge cross-section of society, engaging in diverse tactics- not just protest, but strikes, slowdowns, leaks, refusals, gumming up the works, ridiculous art, coordinated disruption, a whole range of things to make it impossible for those who intend evil and do harm to execute their plans.

Wealth inequality is worse than pre-revolutionary France. The government is committing genocide abroad while building literal concentration camps at home. They are rounding up immigrants and trafficking them to work camps. Nazi America is here.
