The catholic churches stance on social issues is well documented and well debated within the church hierarchy.

All it takes is some research to understand it.

Lots of times ppl just hear word of mouth and make judgements based on that.

Catholic churches here are stepping up Christlike when it comes to immigrants, definitely fighting for them & protecting them. I'm not in the business of defending Catholicism but they are taking that call seriously at least in DC.
