Wonder if Gus indirectly figured out how to take out the cartel from Chuck McGill

In S1 of Better Call Saul, Chuck mentions the practice of mithridatism to Saul (poisoning yourself in doses for immunity)

We know Saul & Mike talked tactics & bluesky'd a lot

Maybe Mike brought it up as a Hail Mary?

Oh so the administration is genuinely ready for the crash now, huh?
Trump trade adviser Navarro says administration may force data center builders like Meta to 'internalize' costs
Data centers powering artificial intelligence have strained the electrical grid and driven utility costs higher for consumers.

"Guy in my neighborhood looked me dead in the eyes and yelled "Fuck you Fascist!" at me"

"He doesn't know I'm a Fascist."

"Yes he does. You're on TV."

Arguably the greatest 3 Act Self Own in history.
Fox News host Jesse Watters shared how a stranger shouted "F. U. fascist!" at him while he was walking his dog in his neighborhood—and after he expressed his bewilderment over how anyone could possibly think he's a fascist, his cohost Jessica Tarlov gave him an instant wake-up call.

"On Friday afternoon, Ars Technica published an article containing fabricated quotations generated by an AI tool and attributed to a source who did not say them"

Reinforcing the editorial standards following the incident not including firing everyone in the chain is useless.

"You're telling me an ARTICULATE BLACK MAN just happens NATURALLY!?"

I didn't actually watch the interview but I assume this was the argument in a nutshell.

Of course! He's alive and living INSIDE the twenty dollar bills.

He did it. He seeded the world.

It's incredible that even in their fantasies these people are still a slave to their product rather than actually doing anything useful or earth changing with it

Perhaps you should just put down the AI for a few years. Whittle something. Do something that requires humans

Perhaps tech isn't for you

i think i mostly echo this for myself. with so much that can be done, i often feel like i *should* be doing something, always

We've gone from "Temporarily Embarrassed Millionaires" to "Temporarily Embarrassed Middle Management".

I check in on Martin Skhreli to get a visible look into the mind of evil Capitalists w/ no filter & he explained this outright;

This is the end goal for every startup right now.

They want to be able to pitch Goldman or JPMorgan that they can run infinite risk evaluation / novel extraction methods.
Or perhaps compute is no longer valuable except as a vehicle for profiteering.

TBH, I'm surprised we haven't seen some startup charging a 50% cut for smashing the outputs of multiple LLMs together and promising reliable results.
February 15, 2026 at 7:15 PM
This is an incredibly interesting case study b/c it makes you ask "Why would OpenAI just... admit this?".

The history of computing is basically a story of building reliable systems out of unreliable components.

The problem is; If it's ARCHITECTURE that's the answer, compute is no longer valuable.

Bloomberg, if you could fit in a story about how "Silver Is Fine" this would have been hitting for the Propaganda Cycle in one front page.

I love Mike Ehrmantraut so much for the same reason as everyone; Hyper-competence.

But I wonder how much of that is due to me having Executive Dysfunction & it being a proxy power fantasy of just being able to actually execute things from start to finish.
