The #2026TempShawl yarns are here!!! I’m sure I’ll need to order additional mini skeins of most of the colors but decided I’d start with just one of each and go from there. All are from Lichen and Lace.

Meditate. Start learning now how to not have so many attachments cause most of them are bullshit.

Therapy. If you can’t afford it, more meditation.

Let the past go.

Figure out who you are and what matters most.

Get exercise as often as you can. Preferably in nature.

We have a mockingbird that in the spring/summer when the back door is open and the cats sprawl in front of the screen l, likes to perch on lawn furniture nearby and yell at them. Drives them out of their little minds. I swear it’s laughing at them.

After my hands being ice blocks all day yesterday I decided to turn the Rainbow socks I had barely started into fingerless mitts. The Lichen & Lace sock yarn is so soft that it’s not setting off any sensory alarms. I’ll post pics later tonight and if they work out, I’ll share my recipe.

South Central PA. Some years we get a lovely fall that eases us into winter, but more often than not we get summer spikes during the day and crash into winter at night.

After the recent mini heat wave we only had the AC off for 4 days. Gave in tonight and turned the heat on so it doesn’t drop below 65. It was 61 in the house this morning and I ended up being cold all day. Not a fan. Really wish we had more than 4 days between switching from AC to heat.

Got approved to be off the Fridays after Christmas and New Year so two 4-day weekends in a row! I’m just glad I remembered to request them early enough.

For spooky season #PrinceCharmingTheCat changed bow ties. #Cats This one is purple with orange Jack-O’Lanterns, yellow stars, and a flying bat charm.

It’s a good thing he’s so damn cute cause he’s been a massive jerk to his siblings lately.

We switched from baseboard electric heat to a heat pump last year and it cut our electricity bill in half. Last month we put on a brand new roof so I’m hoping it further cuts it.
