Its Scottish Cup weekend.Raith are knocked out so no stress for me. Maybe a bit of stress for St Mirren fans as they head to Airdrieonians who might fancy a cup upset. Live on BBC Scot if you dont want to watch the Winter Olympics opening.

A few years back we were visiting Zakopane. It was mid summer and so rather warm. We visited the Olympic Sky jump there and were lucky enough to see some of the Ski Jumpers practising. Not sure who they were assuming they were Polish team. Quite something to see it from this view.

Edinburgh :
I think they are trying to attract the MSP's from over the road.
Talking of MSP having quick pint, used to see one or two of them sneaking up to the old Holyrood Bar when it wa just a boozer. Sometimes the BBC jorno's as well... They would lurk up the back...

"That they have not already done so poses important lessons that pro-independence parties in Scotland need to show they have learned as soon as possible to strengthen their case and guard against any repetition."
We already suspected that the Westminster system was out of step with modern Scotland. Events since the referendum have done nothing but confirm that, writes Richard Walker✍️

I bet there is stoney silence from the majority of the US media. Or twist themselves into knots trying parse it as anything other than pure and utter racism which of course it is.
Just confirmed it myself by viewing the video on Truth Social. This is real. He really did this and he has not deleted it.

Remember the controversy when Obama was accused of intervening in UK politics? This is the current US government openly seeking to undermine liberal democracy in Europe.

I am shocked by the debt England's university students are saddled with, and the outrageous interest rates they are charged.

I am very relieved to be Scottish and for my youngsters to be students in Scotland, where education is valued as a common weal and is accessible to more of our people.
“The combined tuition fees of the entire Question Time panel would not cover my cost for 1 year of uni. Is that fair?”

It’s absolutely NOT fair. This outrageous scandal must end
