Everything Douglas Adams says.
They already are doing that in the US.

Its quite common in the US. I was once watching a feed for a footy game which I think was CBS or something--and it suddenly went to a split screen showing a car advert. I am sure I saw a 'virtual' advert pop up darning a NFL game...

I saw the stuff about the in game advertising, and sighed. We can not escape advertising for at least 40 mins now. Sad days.

Absolutely begging WashPo peeps to explore this route. Either with Nerve or their own.

World of open source devs out there too whoโ€™d help. And a world of readers who donโ€™t want to be bullshitted by oligarch owned press.

Heard the sound of chainsaw outside and looked out to see a tree surgeon up the large tree that lines the old railway embankment. He is chopping away at lot of the branches. Its quite a interesting watch rather doing my own work.

This is superb. Ian McKellen delivers a blistering pro-immigration monologue written by Shakespeare, that makes you want to punch the air with exhilaration. Wow, wow, wow.

An absolute must-watch. (Starts at 20:10 but the entire interview is a joy.) youtu.be/2l2RqzVG4ag

It will be interesting to see how many are turned back. Also how the US tv channels will deal with boisterous footy fans chanting which can be rather salty at times.

I hope 3 doesn't happen, I think even the US would know that would be be a bad sight....

Wow! What sounded like the entire AEW Dynamite audience in Las Vegas tonight chanted "Fuck ICE! Fuck ICE!" in unison before the main event

I fear that people will get used to it as they already have done in the US. It is relentless.
February 5, 2026 at 7:12 AM
I guess they can do this a bit easier in Rugby as there does tend to be a lot more breaks in passages of play. I know that the US they do this during their NFL games.

It never ends. I know the commercial channles have to pay a lot to cover these events but you think at least 40 mins we could escape being sold cars, life insurance and mobile phones.

Will just watch the highlights for the ITV games.

Does this decision need to go to VAR?
Our match this evening against Celtic has been postponed.

Following an inspection by one of the match officials he has called the game off in the interests of player safety.

Details for the re-arranged match will be published in due course.
