just wanted to give an update, been safe and have a couch to crash on but we're like a week over when the person we've been staying with was supposed to be out so im enjoying having some kind of housing while it lasts. still trying to get a permanent home but credit scores are a bitch

I have been trying to get on disability since. A year later I started to caretake for my disabled child by myself as well. I had help previously but it wasn't working out and l've had to do a lot of it on my own, now I'm stuck in a situation where working isn't possible for my health and while I'm already caretaking for my disabled child that needs constant care. I did not ever envision this happening to me and have always worked hard to take care of my family but now I'm in what feels like an impossible situation trying my best to take care of my kids and myself so I can stay around for them as long as possible. Im not enjoying coming online asking for help but I have no where else to turn. I'm doing

If you're comfortable, & you have everything you need taken care of with a little extra, you don't have to give to mutual aid, but why wouldn't you? The hoarding mindset is capitalist. You can easily be part of the community that supports real life vulnerable folks. We're all we got. You gon learn.
