I’m not opening my windows today because I’m trying to keep the house cool.

It’s February 1.

If there are leaders wiling to step up and inspire others for a cause, then there is hope. Absent of that it’s wannabe fueled by socials.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Amazon Web Services hosts massive surveillance systems for both ICE and DHS.

Citizens Bank provides nearly $1 trillion in credit & bonds to private prison companies.

AT&T has a $147 million contract to provide communications services to DHS.

Know who is profiting from ICE’s cruelty.

Retiring Walmart CEO Doug McMillon made $27.5M last year, over 930 times the median Walmart worker's salary of just $29,469.

Walmart's wages are so low that its workers are among the most likely to rely on SNAP and Medicaid to get by.

It's past time Walmart paid them a living wage.

“The court’s declaration today provides some semblance of belated justice to Mr. Walker’s legacy, and to his son, our client Edward Smith,” said Chris Fabricant. https://bit.ly/3LVoOKA

Playing around with forming smaller breads… the loaf up top contains three failures that still rose as one unified loaf.

#sourdough2026 loaves 15&16

Also some focaccia and pizza last night- all sourdough and the best I’ve made with wood fire.

I’m riding a bike today. First time since Tuesday, thank you flu.

Just to discover the alleys in my neighborhood, but at least I’ll be on my bike.

First time using organic Central Milling flour and the feel is very different from Bob’s Red Mill organic.

2 country loaves
3 pizzas
1 thyme rosemary focaccia

First loaves with a new flour will be together in the morning.
First pizzas made with another new flour will get together in the morning and made Sunday or Monday night, depending on how I feel.
Maybe a Detroit square too?
