Not a Catholic, and I suspect Catholicism has been more harmful than good throughout history, but I still wish Pope Francis the best, whatever that is. He was a force for good, and the world is better for having him. Rest In Peace.

One difference between the Democratic and Republican Party now, is that I can at least say what Republicans stand for. I know they are anti-immigration, anti-trans, pro-tax cut, etc. Meanwhile, there is not a single policy I can think of where Democrats present any sort of unified approach.

In the coming weeks, when Trump dismantles more of the federal government, this time with explicit legal authority, Chuck Schumer voted to allow him to do so because he didn’t want Trump to illegally do the same thing.

@schiff.senate.gov @padilla.senate.gov I have supported Democrats up until now in the face of Trump, but if you vote to pass a CR that enables him to simply ignore Congress and reallocate money as he pleases, I will be voting against you at every level of election. Hold firm.

To embrace patriotism would require there be something about this country to be proud of. If the Democrats want to fully embrace becoming Republican-lite, I’m done with trying to convince others to vote for them as the lesser of two evils. Hopefully these ghouls are ignored.

Their own courts stated that it happened, that the prison where it happened was abusing prisoners systematically, and multiple people were arrested for it. Which, credit where credit is due, means their legal system isn’t blindly willing to condone illegal activity.
