Why is one cultural icon protected, but not the other? That’s a fair question, & I’m not sure the NSW Court of Appeal has compellingly answered it.
To be honest, the law governing public assembly in NSW doesn’t make much sense. This case has highlighted its illogic.

So it's OK to shut down the Harbour Bridge, but not the Opera House?

Why is one cultural icon protected, but not the other? That's a fair question, and I’m not sure the NSW Court of Appeal has compellingly answered it.
