An important reminder by @janus.bsky.social to ORGANIZE. With this account, my intent is to consolidate what’s known in order to better equip myself to combat the apathy and lack of understanding I’ve seen by much of the general public. But that alone is no match for collective action.

I wrote this last October. Some friends said it sounded "unhinged". When power moves this fast, the people pointing it out will always sound a little crazy—until they don’t.

just called my reps, but they are actually out on the streets doing stuff. this guide has high level call scripts and points out the Dems who are capitulating. EVERYONE needs to keep calling, but especially if you're in Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Arizona, NY...

Litigants seeking to block DOGE's access to student loan / DOE data cited this exchange as supporting their case:

"AI can and should transform the federal government. But its potential will go unrealized as long as DOGE prioritizes those transformations over following the law," writes @kevintfrazier.bsky.social.

Proper use of AI can transform and improve the federal government. Improper use violates the Privacy Act.

which can only begin with the public’s awareness that they even exist, the sooner we can HOPE to reckon with the damage already done.
These plans, the foundations of which were being written in great detail around 2008 onward, have to be read in context of the current moment, because in any other political climate they would have appeared simply as an extremist pipe dream—because they were! But the sooner we accept them as reality
But we cannot afford to drown out this one very specific, very real message over its perceived absurdity because the Neoreactionary Movement that it is warning of is itself extremely absurd. A month ago, I wouldn’t have believed it myself!
People are trying to sound the alarm but it’s being ignored or dismissed whole cloth. After years of QAnon Deep State conspiracies and the Right’s assault on truth, we all have every reason to be skeptical of wild claims regarding what’s happening in the shadows at the top echelons of our government
It's pretty strange that outside of wholesale dismissals and accusations of me being a paranoid conspiracist, nobody has actually taken me to task on any of the substance of this piece. Because they can't. Because everything I've said is true.
The Plot Against America isn’t just about the rise of a dangerous ideology—it’s about the systematic dismantling of democracy in real time. Tech oligarchs. AI governance. The weaponization of confusion.

If you haven’t read it yet, now is the time.
Reminder that Grimes attended Yarvin’s wedding last year and was reported by WaPo on January 31 as having been seen with him at a Trump inauguration party hosted by his publisher.
Nothing to see here! Just the president mindlessly parroting neoreactionary talking points. Of course DOGE is going to report “irregularities” in Treasury payments! Because they’re operating under Yarvin’s theory that the entire financial system is defective and therefore all debt is illegitimate.

Elon Musk is getting into consumer financial products at the same time he’s trying to gut the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau?

Corruption, and corruption that will hurt American consumers
If you’re a Visa cardholder you can let them know you won’t be any longer if they do business with fElon. I called and they said they’re taking comments at [email protected]. Maybe if enough of us complain they’ll pull the deal.

OPM reported in January that the average annual pay across the entire federal workforce is $106,382. Meaning one week of DOGE funding could have paid more than 65 federal workers’ salaries for a year.
It struck me this morning that I didn’t recall having heard how DOGE was being funded. It’s sick-inducing: Our very own taxpayer dollars hard at work dismantling the entire American governing system.

Wow. I read this article when it was first published but that’s quite an update.

“Late Friday, after this article appeared, Booz Allen said it had ‘removed’ a subcontractor who wrote the warning and would seek to retract or amend it.”

No one should be surprised. Vance has previously announced that he believes the courts should be ignored when inconvenient and stripping power from the courts is also part of Yarvin's butterfly revolution playbook. They're going for the full tech authoritarian takeover.
“Musk has already grown his unelected bureaucracy to lay claim to nearly $7 million of American taxpayer funding,” House Appropriations ranking member Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., said in a statement. She said that amount is “nearly twice the annual salaries and expenses budget of the White House.”

If I have one lesson from a decade of feeble efforts to resist Elon Musk, it's this: don't let decorum, or respectability keep you from exercising your power and resisting him. He certainly won't, and the people who should be doing the work to resist him left you that task because they did.
