Housing market with bits tacked on.
So, comparing year to Sept 25 with the preceding 12 months (to Sept 24). What industries are powering our recovery (as measured by silly GDP)? NB graph only shows industries with positive change.
Well, we're buying more houses again - so estate agents are back in the money. Great work guys. [🧵 1/n]

Prediction: the new super ministry will be a disaster and will eventually be split apart again. At great cost.

My wife is in Nth Shore Hospital. Nothing serious and the quality of care has been fantastic. But this, and other news, led me to thinking a bit wider...

Screw Labour. Just vote Green. Dunno why you think they’re going to change now.

Who are these people having time off until March and, what sectors do they work in? I’m interested in retraining. 🤣

The post is for Webworm members, but I want to sneak this point from behind the wall (sorry David) because I think a lot of adults don't understand what social media is to today's young people.

A social media ban aims to separate kids from their communities.

A very close call last night at Muriwai. Fortunately lifeguards, who had just finished for the day, sprang into action and retrieved a drowning young man at 7:10pm and jumped straight into CPR / DEFIB /Oxygen and brought the guy back. Only FB link sorry.

Today I learned that, allegedly, most Danish dwellings have 3-phase electricity as standard. That would make EV wiring quite simple.

No studio space left in Australia. That’s how busy their film and tv industry is. We’ve got an entire studio complex in Tāmaki Makaurau that is empty.

Still going to argue for gas over electricity?
Gas bills will rise 8 percent over two years in Auckland, under a proposal to avoid stranded assets as gas networks consider winding down. Marc Daalder reports.

If, in 2025, a minister of trade is surprised that trading partners are looking to countries that have solid CO2 reduction plans they either

a) have their head buried in the sand

Or

b) are incompetent fwits.

Personally, I think it’s option B.

So, if I’ve got this correct, the maths study shows that fewer students per teacher, enabling the teacher to spend more time with each child, works? Who’d have guessed?
