Hey, Doug, Stelantis just pulled out of Brampton. Oshawa’s auto industry is 10% of what it was a decade ago. Ford moved its EV production to the US. Maybe you need to rethink Chinese manufacturing, perhaps bring it to Ontario. Produce vehicles your constituents want to and ca afford to drive.
Ford says there’s ‘no damn way’ tariffs on Chinese EVs should be scrapped | Globalnews.ca
Premier Doug Ford's comments came after the premiers of Manitoba and Saskatchewan urged Ottawa to scrap electric vehicle tariffs, largely in place to protect Ontario.

Tomahawks are designed to be launched from sea. Ukraine doesn’t have that capacity. A rudimentary land launcher is in prototype. tldrify.com/1gfn
The missile tech is proven. The land based mobile tech isn’t. Low probability Tomahawks see action in Ukraine before the middle of next year!
AUSA 2025: Oshkosh X-MAV Mobile Tomahawk Launcher Highlights Future Options for Ukraine
Oshkosh unveiled the X-MAV at AUSA 2025, a four-Tomahawk, autonomous-capable mobile launcher, as the U.S. weighs supplying Tomahawks to Ukraine.

What is Trent Frederic doing? Playing on the wrong line! The push is coming from the GM!

Zone exists are different. The long hope and pray rim around the boards is dispatched! Replaced by a centre zone breakout, requiring three men back to the goal line. It’s risky, in the event of a bobble.

The Oilers have played two regular season games and some interesting things are happening. Words like "suppression" and phrases like "what is Trent Frederic doing?" come to mind. Here's a first blush look at the Oilers 2025-26.

What we learned from the Oilers’ first 2 games of 2025-26
Two games is a tiny sample size, but the Oilers have started to answer some questions from the beginning of camp.

Interesting take on the seeming lack of enthusiasm for solid state batteries in North American car makers. Lacking the drive & competition of Chinese EV firms, they seem content to let the Chinese go 1st while staying profitable behind the US tariff wall www.jalopnik.com/1994775/gm-f...
GM And Ford Don't Really Care That Solid-State Batteries Are Getting Big In China - Jalopnik
Some automakers are calling it the future of EV powertrains, so why aren't Ford and GM stepping up to develop solid-state batteries?

The GoA trashed the renewable energy industry in #Alberta. The Premier is about to pick Albertans pockets, on yet another pipeline to knowwhere, jack electricity rates to gas power Data Centres, while refusing to upgrade or expand interties to the grid.

It’s amazing to think that very soon California could be a massive exporter of solar electricity, not just an incidental few GW for a few hours, and those effects will be felt profoundly all the way north in WECC to BC & Alberta.

Grid scale batteries are changing our electricity system. Excellent new visual story on batteries in FT today shows just how far this technology has evolved.

Fasten your seatbelts, this is just the beginning.

Oh, and PM Carney is asking Trump today to revive it. Tge folks Nebraska, won’t like that very much! tldrify.com/1gab.
The issue is who might buy the oil on a revived KSXL? Who’s going to supply it. At what price and for how long? And when might oil ship? Low probability it’s revived.
Carney raised Keystone XL pipeline revival in meeting with Trump | CBC News
Relief for Canada from U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum may come thanks to renewed interest in a pipeline project first proposed more than 15 years ago.

8% built, on the Canadian side of the border, with $ from Albertans as all your links say. That 8%is in the ground. It’s a pipeline to no where! Built by the UPC! Jason Kenny was the leader of the UCP, no! He spent the $1.3 B, no?

Debbie, for the last time, I am referencing Keystone XL. TC energy didn’t walk away. It took our cash and built the Canadian portion of KSXL to the Sask. border with the US. Biden cancelled the cross border permit when he took office. There was nothing built for KSXL in the US.
btwinter.bsky.social
Not sure what you mean by phases, Keystone XL was one pipeline from Hardisty to Steele City Nebraska . There, oil was to be sent to Cushing OKLA to be refined or sent to the Gulf Coast. www.nrdc.org/stories/what...
btwinter.bsky.social
Yes on Keystone. And there’s Keystone XL that’s what I’m referencing.

XL was built on the Canadian side from Hardisty to Saskatchewan Border with the US. It never crossed the border.

In my mind, this is not just a depth move, but a move for a goalie that has a genuine chance to be a difference-maker in 2025-26." - NHL_Sid

Correction, the UCP built a pipeline, KeyStoneXL, on the CDN side of the border, Hardisty to the Saskatchewan US Border. Used $ 1.3B of #Albeta ns cash tldrify.com/1ga0. Hasn’t shipped a litre of oil.

Mr. NenshI needs to specify what energy infrastructure he’s alluding to.
Pipeline Project – Keystone XL
The project has been terminated and the Alberta government has ended its partnership with TC Energy.

A deep analysis of the history of the #oilsands. Complete with the impact on government revenues and jobs. The latter have been cut drastically on efficiency gains.

Two items missing, who would buy the oil proposed for the new pipeline? Who will finance it?

Nobody is a highly probable answer.
Peter Tertzakian: Even if Alberta gets a new pipeline, what’s next for the oilsands?
How much industry investment would it take to fill the pipeline with new oil production?
