Higher EV sales.

More solar installs.

Faster renewable energy growth.

In the 10 years since the Paris climate agreement, the world has made exponentially more progress than experts predicted: www.fastcompany.com/91430305/ren...

It’s the Grid! It’s time zones and demand shifting. It’s lower emissions. It needs a proponent.

Hey @encorbyepcor.bsky.social when can I expect this program from you?

FYI @nagwanyyc.bsky.social this is a program worth advancing. Might get some push back from #Alberta gas producer. Oh well!
In NY, ConEd’s Electric Advantage program is paying 100% of the cost to switch gas customers to electric. Heat pumps, water, dryers, stoves, insulation, electric panel, the whole 9. Right now they do about a dozen/year. This profile looks at what it would take to scale. heatmap.news/energy/coned...

A structural shift: the transition is increasingly independent from temporary political will. Falling costs, long-term investment cycles & state-level momentum are driving growth.

China recognizes that energy storage is completely transformational for the electricity grid & thus for society as a whole. And so it is investing!

FYI #Alberta remember when taking coal off the #Alberta grid was impossible? tldrify.com/1gjk

Every kilowatt hour renewable energy provides the grid is one less that high emissions gas plants provide.

Efficient appliances, energy monitoring apps, are the tools for a cleaner energy future.

Energy transitions can happen faster than we think:

In 2024 less than 10% of Danish electricity was from fossil fuels.

Hey, #Alberta file this! Review it when the GoA starts promoting H2 blending with methane, as a lower emissions fuel. It isn’t. It is a drastically lower value use for the H2.

Superior tech FTW 🥊

Maximum gas furnace efficiency: ~95%

Air heat pump efficiency: 300-400(!)% without even trying.
"Don’t let the federal push for petroleum keep you from making the switch. Heat pumps keep you warm in winter, cool in summer — and are a lot better for the planet."

(switching to a heat pump will reduce its carbon emissions by nearly 3 tons a year -oil=6 tons)

The move the Oilers are likely to make is to trade for is Michael DePietro currently, playing in the AHL the Providence Bruins .

They missed an opportunity to claim him off the waiver wire, earlier in this season.

That's likely a salary cap induced decision.

Who knew there’s $ to be in electricity?

Might want to rethink the renewables policy. Get those inter-ties upgraded and get in the electricity trading business add $ to the Treasury more to energy export$ than #pipelines!
