The USDA has funding set aside to keep food assistance programs running during emergencies.

Trump just won’t release it.

440,000 Minnesotans - and millions more Americans - will pay the price.

I would take the pro-life movement a lot more seriously if they were marching in the streets to demand full funding for SNAP and WIC like they march to protest against abortion.

#Trump #ballroom

Disgusting to think that children are going to starve and not get medical benefits because the selfish egotistical piece of 💩 wants a ballroom with his name on it.

Repulsive 🤢 and anti American. 🇺🇸 😠

Look at this - two young deer having fun in the rain as they chase each other around our garden. We’ve had several four-legged visitors lately, but I’m unable to identify the small creature in the final clip - could it be a stoat or a weasel? #Shropshire
It's National Black Cat Day, so please enjoy this chaotic little butthead

It's National Black Cat Day!

Katie got into Halloween Cat Mode moments after the fall foliage display was arranged. Gnorbert was not impressed. But he never is.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 84th day out of the last 96.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.
My family depends on SNAP as well. I've got a bin stuffed with rice, flour, grains, nuts & dried fruits for just such an occasion, & am going to Aldi this week to buy a cheap turkey, potatoes, cabbage, carrots & onions with my last portion of benefits, which should last us several weeks. After that?

If we can’t read Mary Shelley's Frankenstein together in front of a crackling fire whilst enjoying a vintage bottle of Château Lafite-Rothschild in an ominous Victorian mansion during a full moon on a cool October night with the sound of wolves in the distance, then aren't we both wasting our time?

“What’s up?” is the Bluesky prompt for posts.

Our benefits and lifelines are “what’s up” on Nov 1.

As the regime continues to spend lavishly (and anonymously) on “ballrooms,” illegal bombings, and Trump himself,
Americans are struggling:
food, healthcare, jobs, ICE…

Cruelty is the point.

- Star Trek is and has always been woke.
- I'm a female born in 1957 and have always loved Star Trek. My favorite author as a kid was Robert Heinlein.
- My mom, who was born in 1937, introduced me to science fiction by reading me her childhood copies of the John Carter of Mars trilogy.
